Half Gallery was established by Bill Powers in 2008, on the Lower East Side. In 2013 the Galley moved to the Upper East Side, NYC, above the boutique owned by his wife- fashion designer Cynthia Rowley. The husband-and-wife duo founded Exhibition A in 2010, which produces Limited Edition Prints and Objects by Contemporary Artists. Additionally, Powers contributes regularly to ARTnews and the French fashion magazine Purple. Half Gallery focuses on discovering and championing young emerging Artists, including Justin Adian, Genieve Figgis, Daniel Heidkamp, Vaughn Spann, and Blair Thurman, with the Gallery presenting a Solo Exhibition of Eddie Martinez for its Inauguration.

Hiejin Yoo

Hiejin Yoo (B. 1987, Germany) received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015; and her MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2018. Recent Solo Exhibitions include Quotidian, at Half Gallery, NYC, New York, Hiejin Yoo, Fredric Snitzer, Miami, FL; and The Traces of Memories, Kopeikin Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Yoo has been included in numerous critically lauded Group Exhibitions, including Early 21st Century Art (Curated by Bill Powers), at Almine Rech, London; and Seed (Curated by Yvonne Force), at Paul Kasmin Gallery, NYC, New York, and Everyday Muse (Curated by John Edmonds), at Ltd., Los Angeles, CA. Yoo lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
